My New Baby Sister

My New Baby Sister

Yes, I may have just woken up at 11:14 A.M but I’m still happy that my new baby sister is born. She was born December 29th, 2013, she’s not even a day old yet. BUT SHE’S SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Even if I have only seen her in photos.) 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, A Band Review

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, A Band Review

Now, to start off, I just want to say that I really started to listen to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons when my mother and father came back from watching Jersey Boys on Broadway.

Now, I want all of you to know that most of these people committed felonies.

The song above (I) Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, is probably my favorite Frankie Valli song. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to it (it’s a lot better than some of the cr*p on I (insert cutesy heart) Radio. Their music is wonderful and I’m sure I would love to meet them. But they’re probably all dead, so…

Just listen to their songs and you’ll be fine.

It’s too good to be true. I can’t take my eyes off of you. You feel like Heaven to touch, I wanna hold you so, so much. You’re just too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off you.

“Take that, Auto-tune!”

That Thing You Do!, A Movie Review

That Thing You Do, A Movie Review

Now, the only time I ever saw this movie was in, like, July (or May, I’m not sure) and after about half a year, I decided to make a movie review.

All in all, I liked the movie. I’d give it 3 out of 5 and a 80% if I was in Rotten Tomatoes.

I liked the song and the story (I freaked out when I saw they went to Hershey Park) and the humor and the realism that can be in any movie (and the “that will never happen”-ness in every movie).  But what really grabbed my attention was the fact that I knew at least two actors in the movie (which, at least when I’m watching movies with my mother), I keep wondering who the heck plays the characters and then I end up Googling it. (Oh! Did you know that that prince from Sleeping Beauty was Freddie in My Fair Lady? Google and learn, my friend).

The story starts at a hardware store where main character, Guy (played by Tom Everett Scott), is working. So, to make a long story short, him and his friends Faye Dolan (Liv Tyler), Jimmy Mattingly (Johnathan Schaech), Lenny Haise (Steve Zahn), and T.B. Player (Ethan Embry) make a band called the Oneders (Faye came up with the name Oneders because the Beatles was spelled differently from beetles. Everyone pronounced it as O-Neder. Later changed to Wonders by Mr. White played by Tom Hanks), performed That Thing You Do! at a school shindig, was invited to play at a Italian place near an airport, made a CD, sold it at said Italian place, was made an offer by this guy, messed up at a “concert” (I don’t know the name), Met Tom Hanks, did this little music thing, cue montage, and *SPOILERS* then they break up. Basically. It’s a lot more than that, actually but I don’t want to waste time making every little detail of the movie into this post.

I really liked the ending and the movie. I just thought I should make a review. Whatever.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

I’d like to wish my six followers (Matt Gajdos, Chris Martin, The CoF, Raluca Stoica, ubarnwallart, and taylor oceans) a happy New Year. Thank you for following me (and Matt Gajdos, I love your blog). I hope you all know that I’m not going to get goosey and blubbery. I’ve gotten six followers in a month and nineteen days. I know that probably most of you don’t even read my blog (or maybe you do and don’t like or comment) but I’d like you to know that all of you are appreciated. And that’s why I’m making recommendations on whom you’ll love (probably)

  • For The CoF: The Fancy Pants Report. followed that blog for some time when I still had the fashion craze. But I think you’d like it.
  • For taylor oceans: Todd Pack’s Messy Desk. I’ve read some of your posts and some of Mr. Pack’s posts and I don’t really see how you’d relate to this, though. Maybe it’s just me.
  • For Matt Gajdos: Live, Nerd, Repeat. I love this blog because it’s reminiscing about the days before you could text. But mostly it’s funny and has quirky real-life moments that are laugh-out-loud funny.
  • For ubarnwallart: New American Paintings. I like this blog because it has some awesome paintings and graphics.
  • For Chris Martin: The Squeaky Robot. I’ve only seen a couple of posts for this and I think that you’d enjoy it.
  • For Raluca Stoica: The Fancy Pants Report. Again I recommend it to anyone that wants to know about casual fashion and trends. (See link up ^^^)

Now, these may not be really good recommendations but I spent time on this (and also a couple thousand computer tabs). So, I hope you like it.
-Sincerely, your affectionate followee, Therese AKA YoungBlogger02

Rants–Part 2

Rants– Part 2

I’m sure that everyone has seen Rants– Part 1 (at least I’m hoping you have) and this is the continuation.

  1. The New Amazing Spider-Man
First item on the agenda. Gwen Stacy is totally going to die soon, Jamie Foxx is Electro and there’s some weird dude playing Harry Osborn (well, another weird dude). I can’t see the point into talking me in to liking the fact that the guy from White House Down is in my third favorite comic book character’s movie. Just, please, for the sake of the viewer (me) please cast someone else as Electro.
  2. Text Talk
On Wattpad I’ve seen some stories that have Text Talk in them. Why? Because they’re too lazy to write in Jane Austen‘s English. I know that some of you talk like that. Not. So I just want to come out and say it: GTFO f U cant rite lke a reglr prsn. (God, that was so hard to write.)
  3. The “SyFy” Channel
I’m looking for SCI-FI people!!! Not extra Ys and WWE. I’m looking for stuff like Star Trek: Next Generation. You know what? I’d even settle for LOTR. At least that’s fiction (or it probably could qualify as Sci-Fi. Maybe). or Hunger Games, that’s considered Sci-Fi! Just so I don’t have to see dudes wearing tight pants. *Shudders*
  4. The Craze For Cabbage Patch Kids
Okay, fine. That was in the 80’s way before I was born. But… why? I don’t see the obsession of having creepy dolls in your house. Especially when you’re old and decrepit and they’ve come to feast on your soul. Like regular creepy dolls do.
  5. The 1D Craze
Please explain to me why you want to have a poster or a life-size cardboard cut-out of weird boys that, well, suck. And have weird names like-like Zane (ha-ha fangirls, I spelled his name wrong) or Neall (spelled his name wrong, fangirls :P). But I have a burning hate for them. First of all, who cares if they won X-Factor (I assume they were on X-Factor. At least I heard it on the interwebs), who cares about them AT ALL!!! Who, freaking, cares.

Well, that’s all for now, viewers. Brief hiatus until January 4th. Or later because I’m going to have a new sibling soon. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< He/ she deserves the 76 exclamation marks.)

My Favorite (And Least Favorite) Movies

My Favorite (And Least Favorite) Movies

I’m not too picky when it comes to movies. But when I do get picky, I get picky. I know that some of these movies are the favorite movies of fanboys and fangirls (I’m not even going to include Barbie movies) but it’s my opinion.

My Least Favorite Movies (Including TV Shows)

  1. Star Trek, The Wrath of Khan
No, I don’t mean Star Trek Into Darkness. I mean the one with Ricardo Monatalban and William Shatner. The reason I probably didn’t like this one was because of the way you could see the strings as the worms were going into everyone’s ears. It had a TV-show- like script and even got a 90% Rotten Tomatoes rating (props to you) but I didn’t really see the fascination.
  2. The Muppets
I never really like the Jim Henson’s Muppets anyway. But then they had to cast Any Adams and the whole thing went completely down-hill. Besides, it didn’t really have a good story to begin with.
  3. Star Trek, The Original Series
It all seemed fake. I like good special  effects and it was good for it’s time. But what really threw me off the whole series was when you close in on William Shatner’s face you can see the guy-liner.

The Movies I Had High Hopes For

  1. Pacific Rim
When my brother and father came home after watching Pacific Rim in the movie theater they said it was the best movie ever. When I watched it, I couldn’t really see how fighting Kaiju in a Hunter suit (German translation is Jaeger. Which they dubbed them in the movie)  and making property damages to the max. I don’t really care about Transformers fighting Godzilla (Micheal Bay, if you make that into a movie I’ll kill you).
  2. Tangled
The Disney movie that I liked at first and then decided that it was another Disney chick flick. Even if it did have Chuck.
  3. The Man Of Steel
I had high hopes for this. Maybe Amy Adams will be good in this movie. Maybe Micheal Shannon can take on the role of Zod. Maybe, just maybe, the guy they chose to play Superman can still be good. It was not to be. Except for maybe the Zod bit and the fact that Jor-El is Russel Crowe.

The Surprisingly Good Movies

  1. Rise Of The Guardians
This movie, for Dreamworks, was surprisingly funny movie that me, as a tween, enjoys. Sure, it’s a little sugar-coated but it has Jude Law, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman,  and the Sandman has no voice.
  2. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Yes, there is a lot of stuff that doesn’t tie into the book. Like the fact that there’s going to be three movies instead of one and the scene where Bilbo meets the elves. But all in all it was good.
  3. Shrek 4
I was more than a little skeptical after Shrek 3. Not only was this the second best movie of the series but my brother also watched it for the first time while finishing NeoQuest 2 on

My Favorite Movies (Including TV Shows)

  1. Star Trek Into Darkness
This movie is the best Star Trek movie ever. It has awesome animation and it’s just plain awesome. Especially in theaters.
  2. The Avengers
There is no question as to what Marvel movie is the best. We have Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye (I enjoyed all twelve minutes that you were in the movie, dude) and, who can forget, Thor. I watched this in the movie theater and I loved every minute of it (except for Coulson’s death 😦 ).
  3. Captain America
This was a great movie. I was, at first, skeptical about Chris Evans playing the iconic comic book character because there was only one movie I’d seen him in, Fantastic Four. All in all I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
  4. Taken
Liam Neeson stars in this awesome thriller that I would recommend to anyone 14+.
  5. Sixth Sense
Second. Best. Movie. Ever. “I see dead people.” How many people can say that in a movie and people will like it? I loved this movie, ‘specially the ending where *SPOILER ALERT DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU’VE WATCHED THE MOVIE*………. It’s a surprise (yes, I know you people that actually want to read spoilers) go watch the movie and you’ll see.

And that’s about it. Bless your face. If you sneezed during this post, bless you! Peace out! Boop!

Celebrity Rumors

Celebrity Rumors

Now, I’ve never read a gossip magazine. Ever. But I have seen some stuff on the interwebs. So I thought that some of you guys should take a break from the stuff I’m sick and tired of and focus on what I think of celeb rumors.

  1. Tom Hanks is going to the new Batman villain.
Anything’s possible, I guess. After all, Ben Affleck is going to be the new Batman. Yes, the guy from Reindeer Games. But, seriously, what sort of villain is Tom Hanks going to be. I can’t think of any that would really fit him. Then again, I never imagined they’d choose Jamie Foxx as Electro, But they did.
  2. Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be in Star Wars VII.
The rumor also says he’s going to be in Star Wars VIII and IX. I ahve no idea what villain he’s going to be, though. This rumor was neither confirmed nor denied by Mr. Cumberbatch himself. Like this post of you think Chris Pine would be a good Luke Skywalker.
  3. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams getting back together.
Never saw the Notebook so I don’t really care. Look it up.

Actually, that’s about it. Lile I said, I never read gossip magazines so I don’t know. See you all later.
